About Us

We were established in 1997. We started with special steels and copper alloys, which are the basic materials of tools, molds and machine parts, and continue with them. Our partner Dörrenberg Edelstahl, one of Germany's long-established manufacturers of tool steels, has a 200-year history in this field. In 2005 in our Çayırova plant we started to manufacture the copper alloys that we previously imported. In 2016, we increased our capacity by establishing a second plant in Balıkesir and opening a Bronze and Copper alloys factory that fills the gap in the domestic market and gives us grat excitement with regards to exports. In October 2017 we earned the right to operate the 649th R&D center in our country.

Currently we continue to serve our customers and stakeholders as a company with 300+ employees and all kinds of quality assurance capabilities.

Our products

1- Special Steels

We operate with 2,500 tons of stock in tool steels, martensitic stainless steels, special steels and case hardened steels.

Our sales engineers meet with our customers one-on-one and recommend materials and heat treatment according to the application area. They follow up.

We take back the spent materials from our customers and ensure that they are re-used in our recycling department.

2- Bronzes and Hard Coppers 

We can produce these special alloys in the form of plates, rounds or pipes using special processes in accordance with the ISO 9100 quality system. We can also cast, forge, heat treat and machine according to technical drawings and in accordance with the demands of our customers.

Machinery, molding, manufacturing, aviation, defense, rail systems, automotive, white goods, construction, iron and steel sectors are the sectors we serve.

With the BOLOKUR Technical Publishing Company that we established, we publish both works written by our own authors and technical works such as Tabellenbuch Metall, which has gained an international reputation. Our books are used as textbooks in engineering faculties and as reference works in relevant businesses.  

We organize seminars in companies and educational institutions to explain the material groups and to show how the right material selection can be made in accordance with the quality-cost-efficiency criteria.

We also give importance to protecting the environment while manufacturing. In order to ensure the recycling of the copper alloys we produce and all the steels we import, we have established a department that takes care of this and we have also ensured that our emissions are minimized.

We believe that quality standards must be followed in order to offer quality products. For this reason, we apply international quality standards in all our production processes. Sağlam Metal is AS 9100 REV D, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 10002:2014 certified.
